Our Story
After years of working 80+ hours a week in the tech industry, Katie struggled with chronic stress and extensive burnout that led to an autoimmune disease. She brought her concerns to her doctors only to be gaslit and given band-aid solutions that didn’t address the root cause of her illness. Frustrated and confused, Katie eventually turned to Eastern medicine modalities and spiritual practices like herbs and meditation to reduce stress and anxiety and heal herself naturally. She used the chakra system to pinpoint the root causes of her health issues and address them more precisely and ultimately made a full recovery.
Katie’s self-healing journey through the chakra system led her to create Cactus Moon Apothecary, so she could empower others to do the same; care for themselves, reduce stress and anxiety, and live a joyful, balanced life.
Today, Katie creates high-quality self-care products that are safe for your body and the environment using only organic, non-toxic ingredients. As a Certified Herbalist, she bridges the gap between science and spirituality, carefully studying the properties of each herb and essential oil to pair them with the chakra their properties will help the most. Additionally, Katie applies her combined knowledge as a certified 200-hour yoga teacher and Biodynamic Breathwork for Trauma Release practitioner to help create herbal remedies and rituals designed to heal and nourish.

Katie has a deep connection with nature, spirituality and the earth. To her, everything is a sign guiding her on her journey.
Katie and her incredible and supportive partner, Adam, shared a memorable trip to Saguaro National Park during the full moon while they were brainstorming their business concept.
During this trip, they witnessed the full moon casting its glow over the desert and they knew this was it - it was their sign.
This moment that has come to symbolize the spiritual renewal and transformative healing journey at the heart of their business - at the heart of Cactus Moon.
