About Katie

Rooted in Earth. Guided by Spirit. Devoted to the Evolution of Consciousness.

I’m Katie Bywater, founder of The School of Conscious Change and Cactus Moon Apothecary. I am a Certified Herbalist, Breathwork for Trauma Release Facilitator, and 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher. Before I devoted my life to this work, I spent more than fifteen years building and leading teams in the corporate and startup worlds.

In those years, I helped organizations grow from the ground up. I developed company cultures rooted in connection and belonging, coached senior leaders to lead with integrity, created structured professional development programs, and designed retreats that brought people together in powerful, transformative ways. Those experiences taught me what leadership truly is: the ability to hold space for transformation, to see potential in others, and to create environments where people can thrive.

But behind the success and the glamour, I began to see something deeper. So many people were achieving on the outside while feeling disconnected on the inside. I recognized that I was living the same story. That realization became my doorway into a different way of living and leading.

The Awakening

Burnout became my initiation. Through the process of unraveling what I had been taught about success and achievement, I began to see how deeply those systems had shaped me. Healing my own burnout stripped away the false layers of who I thought I needed to be and brought me back to what is real.

Since awakening to the knowing that there is more to life than we've been taught in the western world, I have studied plant medicine and earth-based healing with Indigenous teachers who live in deep relationship with the natural world. Sitting with these medicines and teachers has changed everything about the way I see life, leadership, healing and the future of our planet. It reminded me that the wisdom we seek is already within us and that the earth is always ready to guide us back home.

Through herbalism, breathwork, and spiritual practice, I reawakened my relationship with the living intelligence of nature. I saw how the same disconnection that had caused my burnout is the same disconnection driving our planet’s destruction. My healing became a call to help women remember their own connection to the earth, because when women return to harmony with nature, we remember how to live in a way that restores life rather than consumes it.

My Work Now

Everything I create weaves together what I learned in two very different worlds: the clarity and structure of business leadership and the deep wisdom of the earth and spirit.

Through The Conscious Changemaker Mystery School, I guide women who have already done deep inner work and are ready to move beyond self-healing into conscious, embodied leadership. This is a space where body, spirit, and earth come together to help you lead in a way that feels aligned, sustainable, and true.

Through the Chakra Box Ritual Series, I offer chakra-based herbal remedies and rituals that support the body and spirit in finding harmony. Each offering is designed to reconnect you with your natural rhythm, balance your chakras, and remind you that healing does not have to be complicated.

My gift is bridging the sacred and the practical. I bring spiritual depth and grounded structure into everything I create. The result is offerings that feels both mystical and actionable, both visionary and rooted.

My Why

I believe the future of our planet depends on women remembering their true power. Not the kind that dominates or strives, but the kind that grows from deep regulation and alignment with body, mind, spirit, and nature.

The crises we face on this planet are not only environmental; they are spiritual. They come from a culture that has forgotten how to live in right relationship with the earth, with each other, and with the wisdom of our own bodies. Healing that disconnection begins within us.

When women reconnect to their bodies, regulate their nervous systems, and live in harmony with the natural world, they become grounded, conscious leaders. They become the kind of leaders our planet needs. From this place, we can reshape how our communities, our businesses, and our systems operate. Not from the top down, but from the roots up.

That is why I do this work. To help women remember that they are the earth. To guide them in rising together, rooted in purpose and aligned with what is sacred. Because when we heal at the individual level, we create the conditions for collective healing, and that is how the world begins to change.
